The Chorale’s Christmas concert will present two major works for choir, chamber orchestra and soloists:  Johann Sebastian Bach’s joyous cantata "Nun komm der Heiden Heiland" (“Now let the savior of heathens come,” BWV 61) and Claudio Monteverdi’s equally joyous Magnificat in D major. The Chorale will also sing a selection of a cappella Renaissance motets, as well as Christmas songs from numerous countries.
