Listen to the Santa Cruz Chorale

Mendelssohn, From Christus

An excerpt from Christmas with the Chorale 2019

Mendelssohn's "He, Watching over Israel"

The Santa Cruz Chorale sings Felix Mendelssohn's "He, Watching over Israel" at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, on April 28, 2019.

Parson's "Ave Maria"

Performed by the Santa Cruz Chorale in December, 2016, in Holy Cross Church

Christmas with the Chorale is almost here!

What you may not know as an audience member is that the gentle soul conducting the Chorale is a real treasure and we are not the only ones to think so. On October 3, 1990, when East and West Germany celebrated their reunification, the official festivities began with an ecumenical service in the Marienkirche in East Berlin. Attendance was by invitation only; only heads of state and politicians from around the world were invited. It was Christian Grube’s choir that was invited to perform!

Nice balance of sacred and secular

Nice balance of sacred and secular. Favorites "Lux Aurumque"," Stille Nacht" - always! I'm glad to see there has been more promotion of the Chorale in the media. You deserve to be heard by a larger audience!

Concert goer

The chorale performs choral works of diverse periods, genres and traditions, both unaccompanied and using professional soloists, instrumental ensemble and orchestra. The Santa Cruz Chorale makes such music accessible to the broadest possible audiences while enabling member singers to experience the delight and artistic growth inherent to sophisticated music-making.
